I hope everyone is having a wonderful fall day, it's beautiful here and I've been busy painting and staining some things for tomorrow's Whatcha Working on Wednesday:)
I've taken some pictures for Lauren from Simple Blessings, she wanted some ideas to make her home more prim, I've posted some of these pics before, these are recent ones, but I know Lauren doesn't have the time with a newborn to go way back into someones blog to see pictures, so Lauren I'll be posting some so that you can see right now.lol This is a room right next to the kitchen where I'm taking the picture from, I call it my keepingroom, I think it's the primmest room that I have and it's always so cozy looking especially in the fall and winter. I always turn the light on at dusk...you can also see my cornstalks on the porch out the window there. The black barstools in the front of the picture are at the bar which seperates these rooms. My three girls...I couldn't resist taking a pic of them, this is the first time I've had them all together, that is one thing I've found out you have to move things around from room to room. I would never do that before but it's a great way to get a fresh look with what you already have:)
Here's my desk and the samplers above it all of them I made in the 90's, the larger one at the top on the right is the very first one I ever made, I usually keep the first thing I make because later it shows how far I've come.
This is part of my entryway and to the left is my livingroom and diningroom and to the left is the keepingroom and kitchen.
My entryway again, I'd so like to paint that mirror black.lol It's screwed to the wall so I'll have to get Stush to take it down to do.

I also forgot to show you this craft caddy that I found at Goodwill brandnew! Two day's before I was looking at the two magazines that Trudy had sent me and noticed this in an advertisement for $12.00 and thought it was pretty neat...found it for a $1.00!
Have a great evening and I'll be back tomorrow!

Thanks for the tour through parts of your prim perfect home. What a warm and cozy place it would be to visit. You've done a great job and there's lots of ideas I see, LOL

I love the peek into your prim home Rondell! It is beautiful. That little chair by the window looks like a great spot to cuddle up with a book and a cup of tea on a cold winters night:)
ReplyDeleteI just about have all the wool dyed, for your valences, I have to finish cutting out the pennies, which I hope to have done this weekend. I'll send you a pic to see if you like the colors. I got distracted with yard work this week, and the opening of our new Costco in town:)
That mirror that you want to paint black; I would just paint it while up one the wall. Just slip pieces of cardboard behind the wood and the wall and paint away!
Wooly hugs from a cold Peterborough,
Trudy
Love the photos, great inspiration
