I think...I still have a stuffed head but not as bad as it was, just seems like everything is in a fog plus I've been working everyday. Yesterday I thought I was off but then my manager called and asked if I could come out from 1 to 6 so I went, then got up at 5:30 AM to be at Michele's to put Sydney on the bus and get Samantha to preschool at 9:30 then back home to get ready for work... pick up Sam at 11:30 ...go thur McDonalds drive thur to get Happy Meal for her, take her home... then off to work for 1 to 6 it is now 9:00PM.lol
Here are some pictures of a little of what I've got done as far as Christmas decorating goes...My desk in the livingroom, my little tree on the small chair with the prim rag stuffed pillows, you can't see it in the pics but there is a rusty jingle bell garland on it.
My poinsettas in a big crock!
Left side of the fireplace, as you can see it's all cleaned out...DH is putting a fireplace insert in which in fact it is already in, I'm not to thrilled with the idea only because I've never had one. I always told him "no" when he would suggest it but our heat is electric and last months bill was 189.00 not even below 20* weather sooooo I finally relented I guess it will be nice to have a fire all the time. Does anyone else have a fireplace insert? If you do please leave a comment and tell me the pros and cons I'd so appreciate it:)
The mantel, I have prim lights in the greenery but haven't had the energy to get an extension cord and plug them in. The stocking on the right I made.
Here is a picture of the card Linda made and was sent with my stocking swap also the cinnamon pineapple ornaments that she made also, I have them on my little feather tree...it's made of real feathers and is oh so soft:)
Cute, cute, cute! Hope you continue to feel better.

Susan

I love, love, love, all your decor!!! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWow! You got all of that done while working AND taking care of the grandbabies? Plus not feeling well? You are an amazing woman!
ReplyDeleteTake Care!
WOW!! Your house looks so prim and festive. I would love to see it in person. You really have a knack for putting things together. Glad you're feeling a bit better. Take care. Julie
ReplyDeleteYou sound like one busy lady!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you are feeling better. My husband came home tonight complaining that he is not feeling so hot. Started out with the youngest to my other daughter now to hubby. Does that mean I will have by next week. I so do not want to catch it! I can not afford to be sick with the meds I take I no longer have a immune system to fight things off. So I am praying!
Oh boy...oh boy...I love your decorations so far. Everything looks so great and prim. I must get my pictures downloaded in the computer and get my pics posted. I have been all decorated for some time now and completed my Christmas Shopping. Now I await for the day...well actually I have a couple of projects to do and baking for a swap that I and four other ladies are doing together.
Take care of yourself and don't work to hard ;)
Sandy
Rondell, We had a fireplace insert in the house we lived in before we moved. It was wonderful as far as the heat goes...and it didn't look bad either. I like being able to "see" the fire and you could only see it through the small glass doors but I think the positives really outweighed the negatives. You should see a different in bills for sure.
ReplyDeleteHi Rondell - I sent you two comments before when you got sick but they havent shown up! never mind good to hear youre feeling a bit better... and...........adore your decor!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling a little better..I hope you are totally better soon! And your decorating so far looks great! Everything looks so cute..warm and inviting too:) Take care of yourself! <3Lauren
ReplyDeleteHey Rondell.. a woodstove insert would be your best bet..if it is only a fireplace insert..you are warm in that one room..they are more for ambience..unless times have changed and you have a blower or something..but you are talking to a "girl" what do I know...they may have gotten better...love your holidays photos..drink lots of cranberry juice and take vitamin C it will help..I will send you my bill..lol...I do hope you get to feeling better...take care..:)
ReplyDeleteHi Rondell,
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you are feeling a little better.
My SIL has a fireplace insert and they really like it. The only thing that I've her fuss about is that it can dry the house out. They always have a kettle of water sitting in room wear the insert is as that room seems to be the driest.
Take care,
Cindy
Hey Girlie!
