Jennifer came in the day after Christmas and really made my Christmas special...she went antiquing in Winston Salem, North Carolina for some of my gifts:) This picture isn't an antique but I just love it, I'm going to put it above my shelf that Stush made, after all the Christmas stuff is put away.
I also got to umwrap this...it's what they used to put on their porch for the milkman to keep the milk from freezing and there is milk bottles inside...the egg beater is what she got me too. I'm thinking that I'd like to put them up above my kitchen cabinets if it fits:)
Rondell-
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you. I love your milk box. I have been looking at them for a while. I remember when I was little we use to have one on our front porch. Our milkmans name was Dick. Wouldn't it be nice to open your door and have your milk there instead of going out.

Hi Rondell,
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the tree with the snow falling outside. We didn't have snow for Christmas either, but are going burst of snow today.
We are staying in tonight and my parents are coming over to play cards...then Josie and Kimberly are coming over to spend tomorrow with us as my SIL has to work. He is a fireman and is on duty tomorrow.
Have a wonderful time tonight.

Hi Rondell,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. Actually, I did get my red background from blogger. I just looked under colors and fonts (I think). Right where you change your font color and all that other fun stuff, but that is where I found that red background. I love that red (the only one out there that I liked) (lol). Oh by the way... I love your new blog header.
How did you get the snow effect?

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Rondell! It has been so wonderful getting to know you these past few months. I look forward to learning more in the new year:) I hope your new year is full of blessings!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2009 Rondell! Your antique gifts are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMy grandpa used to be a milk man and so did my dad after him. My sisters always teased me saying that I was the milk man's daughter. :o)
I hope someday to find a milk box to add to my decor. It would be awesome to find one that says Sawyer's Milk on it because that would have most likely been one of ours if it was from here in Maine.
At any rate, sorry for rambling, but you brought up a whole bunch of warm memories of the milk truck.
I hope you had a fun time last night. May God bring you many blessings in 2009.
Hugs~ Birgit
Happy New Year, Rondell!
