~I Won a Giveaway and My Oldest Son~

Hello there…I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend, it was just beautiful weather here and spent alot of time outside. Sydney and Samantha had such a good time hunting for eggs in the front yard and then they were awarded with a plastic baseball and bat:) So we did alot of pitching and chasing balls, Buster had to be tied up because he would chase the balls and wouldn’t give them back…only to Stush and me. It was also, disappointing and for me heartbreaking, because Alex was sick, some kind of virus and she didn’t even make it to church or Nick said she didn’t even care what the Easter bunny had left. Hopefully next year is different!

The prim magnet she sent me too is on my frig:)

I also can’t let today go by without wishing my oldest son Happy Birthday, here he is at about 17 or 18? LOL Yesterday was his birthday yes, 38 years old, I tried to hold off till my birthday on the 7th but Nick didn’t want to wait I guess he wanted his own birthday date. A wonderful son, husband and father… teaches math and is head coach of the football team at his school, I don’t think they make them any better than him:) Love you!

I did manage to make these homespun eggs before leaving for work on Friday, the first one in the front of the photo (black & beige) was the only one that turned out to my liking and I think it was because of the texture of the fabric. I bought the large plastic eggs at the Dollar Tree and just cut strips of fabric, wrapped them around the eggs and covered them with mod podge and let them dry. Next year I’ll do the smaller ones.

Here are the Easter baskets for the “girls” that Easter bunny left:) I remember doing up four of them on Easter eve and hiding eggs and I’m still doing that…thanks God for grandchildren, they sure keep you young!

Well, ladies and gents I’ve got to work today at 2 so I sure hope you are enjoying this great spring weather we are having, I can’t wait to buy and plant some flowers how about you? I haven’t been to a yard sale yet but I think by the middle of this month they will be in abundance around here.

Have a wonderful day where ever you are♥

  2. Congrats on winning! It was gorgeous here too - not too warm - not too cold!

Next time try making the fabric strips more narrow and varying how you wrap. That might make a difference - though I think they look fine!!

Happy Birthday to your oldest son!!
