~A St. Patrick's Day Birthday~

I really can't believe it's been 34 years since I gave birth to him, Michale Patrick is what I named him...Michael after my dad and Patrick because he was born on that day. I can still see him looking up at me minutes after he was born...those big, brown eyes that are so like mine. Such a sweet, helpful soul he has...he asks for nothing and would rather do it himself!
I called him early this morning to wish him a happy birthday before he left to teach history, that's one thing we are alike in, we both love books and history:) He will be home for Easter and I can't wait to hug and kiss him like that day 34 years ago! Happy Birthday Michael...I love you, MOM.

~Beautiful Earrings, GW Finds and Selling Blog~

Hello blogger friends!
I hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday...supposed to be 57 today but so far no sun!
I wanted to show you the very pretty earrings from Dame Penniwigs that I won, I just love them and I'm so going to wear them at a wedding in July. Stush's niece is getting married on the 25th ...they are called champagne and I think they are so classy. Thanks Dame you do such great work...stop over at her blog to see other earrings she makes:) Yesterday I spent with Michele and this little one, we went to Walmart and the Dollar Store, I asked her to let me take a picture to put on my blog and she said that she was peeking at you all:) Such a silly, sweet thing!
I bought these at Walmart and paid $1.96 for each stem...are they tansy? These two were the only ones left and if they aren't tansy I still like them:0

I stopped at The Country Store on Friday and bought some of these rag balls, I have them sitting in a ornament that is a yelloware bowl...that's how little these rag balls are:) so prim cute!

At Goodwill that day I was so surprised to see three blue glass Ball jars sitting there...I've never seen the blue ones and was shocked that they were still there. I paid .69 a piece for them but I've seen them as high as $2.50 for one:) I don't know what I'll do with them but I just couldn't let them sit there!

I also found this green lilac there and I think I paid $1.39 for it, I put it in one of my crocks...didn't care for what it was already in.

I thought I'd show you the top of my sewing machine cabinet, I'm always changing the decor on it. I don't have a green thumb but these are two that do live in my presence LOL. I bought dirt at the Dollar Store to transfer them, I think the philodendron needs new dirt so I'll be doing that today:)

These next pics will be added to my selling blog today...a plate shelf that I primmed! I painted it black and destressed then a coat of walnut stain. You have to imagine it being hung on your wall:) I wasn't going to put to holes in my wall to hang it but I'm sure you get the picture:) Price $18.00 which includes shipping. Other prims not for sale.

I did the same for this candle holder, the new candle is from The Country Store. Then tied a piece of stained cheesecloth around it with a grubbed crow tag! Price is $16.00 which includes shipping:)

Does anyone know how to do the star on the computer? I know how to do a heart but not the star:)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

~Isn't This The Cutest Teapot?~

Hi everyone,
When I saw this teapot on the shelf I thought of my blogging friends who love chickens and roosters and also the color red:) Isn't it sweet? It's just 9 inches tall and about 14 1/2" around the biggest part of the middle. The bottom has the marking of "House of Lloyds 1992" on it, I'll be sure to post a pic of it on my selling blog...remember I'm just learning.LOL
The only rooster I had was my Easter one but thought you would get the idea:) Here's the side with the spout, cute huh? $14.00 which includes shipping!

I have a busy day today...Walmart, post office and The Country Store:)

~Primming Up and Springing Up~

Good day everyone...I hope everyone is having a wonderful Spring day, it's chilly here but sometimes sunny so in a way that's a good thing and this morning I saw not one but two robins when I took Samantha to preschool:) Also haven't been using the fireplace insert that much so it does look like spring is just around the corner!

I've been looking and drooling at everyone who has posted pictures of their spring decorating and I must say they are all just beautiful and so inspiring makes me want to open all the windows and doors to let some warm air in but that's not going to happen today but soon real soon:)

This is in my keepingroom and thought I'd add this blue towel that I've had for years on the towel rack that I had found at the fleamarket a couple years ago for $4.00 it's very old and weathered:0
I love this wooden bunny that I won on ebay a few years ago, I'll always keep him because I paid way to much for him.lol Yeah, I got caught up on the bidding and I sure learned my lesson...put in a bid and let it go.!!! I'm to ashamed to say how much I paid for him but I'll just say...more than he's worth!
This is a pewter cup that Michael received when he was born, it has the alphabet on it so it's about 35 years old, someday it will be with him. This rabbit came from The Country House catalog.

I made this little bunny angel...you can see the carrot stitched on her skirt, her wings are made from an old quilt then I made it really stiff with liquid starch.
I've been busy today guess you could say I have my hand in every pot:) I took the girls to school went to GW while Samantha was in school then picked her up:) Now I'm painting, staining, stitching and coffee dyeing!
Not much at GW but I did find a new package of 2yds of cheese cloth for .79 which I dyed and baked, maybe tomorrow I'll stop buy the Country Store and see if she has brought in anything new:)
Have a great evening!

~Whatcha Working on Wednesday & Swap

This will be quick friends, I have to pick up Alex at preschool in a bit but I wanted to post now because when I bring her back here she will want on the computer:)

This is what I'm working on and I hoped to have it done today and stained but Nick called and asked if I'd watch Alex sooooooooo:) The sampler is a freebie from Robin at Bird in the Hand Primitives, it's darling and when she posted it I couldn't wait to start on it:) Hopefully I can continue on it tonight! I'm also working on this heart which will hang on my bedpost, I saw this done when I was at The Rusty Angel:)
Aren't these the neatest stacking boxes? I traded with Shari from Homespun and Primitives, stop by at Shari's she has such neat things on her website...I originally wanted them for my bedroom dresser but they are just to neat not to have them out here where I can see them more, I have a much greater place to put them and I'll share that in a future post.LOL

Thanks to all that left such sweet and wonderful comments on my post yesterday...it made me feel so good to hear such support and love, you are all so special to me:)
I have to go... I don't want to be late picking her up!

~My Selling Blog~

Hello blogger friends!

Well, I'm going to take a step in faith and do a selling blog... I'll be selling things that I redo or already have and also be making my prim, grungey, old looking samplers and maybe even some pennyrug mats:) Will see:)
This is the first item I have for sale, just got done with it, so take a walk over to the Tomatoe Creek General Store I know you will love it there:)
Here is a picture of what my samplers will be like, it's a free pattern that I changed a bit but for the life of me I can't remember where I saved it from, if anyone know's please let me know so I can list it here. I must of took a pic of this at least 10 times and it just seemed to pick up the light or me reflected in the glass so this is as good as I could get it:) This isn't for sale it's for a swap but I just wanted you to see that this is the type I'll be doing:)

One of the reasons I started a selling blog is so I can buy from the others on here , so much talent and I just drool but with the way things are I can't buy. If I do then I can't go out to buy and get out of the house for a while, I think you know where I'm coming from so I do want to purchase from others and support them.

Have a wonderful Tuesday and thanks for all the great comments that you leave, I just love them:)

~A Little Bit of Putzing Around Today~

Is it beautiful out or what! I'm just loving these warmer temperatures that we are having, no coat, gloves and scarf to have to wear, one thing that bothers me though is I haven't seen a robin yet, whenever I see the first one I know spring is finally here...so far though nothing!!!
I went to Michele's house to take sheets that I had found at GW that were brand new, beautiful creme color and they were Martha Stewart sheets. Bottom sheet, top sheet bed skirt and two pillowcases I got all for $8.67 they had just been taken out of the package to hang up (they were bringing things out while I was there as I mentioned in my last post). Well, I looked at the sheets to see if they were queen size and thought that they sure looked like it...got home and they were king, darn! Michele has a king size bed so she got herself some brand new sheets from good old Martha Stewart:) she was happy!
Here is a little of what I did today...with the kitchen windows open I might add. It's not done yet I want to find the perfect fabric to go underneath everything:) The candlestick... found a home I think:) This gathering cost $2.49 both from GW!
Here is my diningroom table, I put the little bench back on and added my grunged up eggs and prairie grass. All are on top of my new coverlet runner!

Oh, glorious SPRING! Thanks Kindra!

Chocolate bunny and eggs I made in the 70's in ceramic class they bring back memories of my kids when they were little...I always put them out every year:)

A quilt egg and one I made along time ago I should prim it up:)

The front door is open in the entryway and the black, painted cats are enjoying it...funny I haven't seen any stuffed cats to paint at GW lately:)

Today Chris called... he and a friend are going to Michael's in Maryland so they all can go to the Penguin hockey game there (told you Chris is a sports nut ) and he asked to borrow my camera...my camera? I said. I think I started to panic, me be without my camera till Monday? I know I'll have withdraws until I have it back safely in my hands.:)
