~Whatcha Working on Wednesday~

Happy Veterans Day everyone! Thank God for them!

Yesterday I went to Sydney's Veteran's Day program, it was special for us because she was chosen to speak a few lines, a first for her and for us.LOL She did so well! Here she is speaking... Waiting her turn to speak...
and singing, yesterday was her birthday also she turned 8:)

Sunday we all celebrated her birthday and as you can see Michele had to cover Samantha's mouth so she couldn't blow out the candles:)

Here are the two munchkins being silly!
Today I was down their house decorating for Michele, she had cleaned and taken everything down so I took somethings that I no longer wanted and I had a great time decorating someone else's home:0 They both didn't have school today so while I was there I pretended like I was a zombie and chased them thur the house, you should have heard the squeals and laughter! Warning... when your a Grammy you will do stupid things!!!

Remember when I did these in my bedroom? Well, I wanted something different, this is what I've been working on! (Michele is on vacation this week) so I've had some time to work in here. Looking thur prim magazines and even on the blogs I have noticed some prim ladies with these type of curtains. I decided to go ahead and try it.

Here are some pictures that I took with different settings with my camera. I love them and soooooo inexpensive too! This is one side of my bedroom...

I used tea dyed muslin from JoAnn's and that only cost me $8.49 with my coupon, the twine I already had:0
I love this window here you can see it from the kitchen and it looks so prim!

Here is a better picture of this side of the room!
See the little black box on my dresser? It was a $1.00 at the Dollar Tree and I painted it black and keep my everyday jewelery in it:)

Another one, just love this side of the room!

The reason I wanted a change was because of this quilt Stush bought me at the log cabin we visited that day, it's black, barn red and has a little gray in it. I need new pillow case coverings and want them in a black homespun so I'll just take my time to see if I can find any.

Here is a closer look at it!

Now here is my dilemma that I sure hope someone out there in blog land can help me with. I registered with Live Writer and so want to use it but when it tries to connect to this blog a popup comes up and says...
An error occured while attempting to connect to your blog.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
You must correct this error before proceeding.
Then you have to click OK....duh, how do I fix what I don't even know what they are talking about.LOL Please leave me a comment or email me rondell1951(at)hotmail(dot)com I sure would appreciate it:)
Well, that's all for today and I'd also like to welcome some newbies to my blog, I so appreciate it, you guys are the greatest!!!

  1. How fun for your granddaughter!! You have a nice family!
Wish I was familiar w/ live writer!

    P.S. Love all your curtains!

  2. Love your new quilt! Sorry I can't help you with your dilemma....just wanted you to know that I enjoy your blog.

  3. Love the curtains Rondell, I was thinking of doing something like that in my breakfast nook, the curtains i really want are not in my budget right now and i think i would be just as happy with something simple anyway.

  4. Gotta love those little granddaughters! I'll bet you were really proud. Have a great week, Dawn

  5. Love your new curtains. I like to decorate some else's home, too. I have done a few in our neighborhood--it's fun. I don't know about love writer--sorry. I need to improve on my technology skills. I am close to having our swap finished. It has been fun to think of you.. have a great day. Julie

  6. Hi Rondell,
I had to chuckle at your "grammy warning" :) That's what makes grammyhood FUN, you can do stupid-silly things and get away with it!
Good job on your window treatment! Pretty quilt too!
I have never seen that error message on L/W so I don't know what to tell ya, hopefully someone has already helped ya out.
Have a wonderful day, and a great weekend.

  7. Hi Rondell...love all of the photos.
I know Live Writer has more features that I have never used yet. I just tip toe through it and write the post! I hope someone sees your post and puts on some hints about it!

  8. Rondell,
Don't we act silly sometimes with our grands? I know I sure do. Love your new quilt & your curtains are great. Wish I could help you with Live Writer ~ I've never seen that message before. good luck.

  9. Great work on the curtains :) I just love simple country curtains so much! They are really quite inexpensive to make, too :)

Love your quilt! I need a new one so badly...I just have to find the right deal!

I love going to the school for programs :) Af's class has one in two weeks for Thanksgiving. Can't wait!

No clue on your dilemma with Live Writer. I know a lot of people are switching to it but I have to say, I have also noticed that the load time on their blogs is a LOT longer than it once was. I also have to mess around with zooming in on their posts because I cannot read some of the fonts at all. I haven't messed with it, though...

    Have a great day!

  10. Don't know about the error you are getting with Livewriter, other than to say are you sure you have uploaded and installed all MS "bug fixes" to your program?

Second thing to check is to make sure that your Picasa album (which Blogger uses) has less than 500 images in it, or you will get that error.

Your house is sure pretty. I love that new quilt you got!

  11. Rondell, your curtains look great! And so does everything else. You're right when you become a Grammy you will do all sorts of silly, crazy things. In fact, you will do anything for those kids! There's nothing like being a Grammy. :)

  12. Yes, you are so right - Grammy hood causes us to do things we wouldn't do unless of course one was a preschool teacher in a previous life. In that case, I am used to it! LOL

How proud you must have been of your granddaughter! Grands are the best!!

  13. Love the quilt & your window treatments. How proud you must of been of your granddaughter!
Livewriter???? Sorry can't help you there.

  14. I love your home. It looks very cozy. That quilt is beautiful.

I too have problems with Live Writer. It will not connect to my blog and says my logon is not correct. I hate to change my e-mail logon because I would probably lose my blog. I do like the way it looks. Keep trying.

    Have a great weekend.

  15. Wish I cold help you out with your Live Writer, but I have NO clue. I like to use what I'm used to.
I do LOVE your favorite side of the bedroom with your curtains.
Been there acting sillier than I should with my 'Grandkids'...It's totally ok though, I'm due...

    Always My Best~Marilyn

  16. I have to agree with everyone about acting silly with the grands. They all call me the fun grammy. lol!
Love your curtains. I made something like that in our bedroom. They are easy to make.
I don't have live writer although I've been thinking about it. Hope you get it ironed out soon.
    Take care Rondell!

Love to read each and everyone of your comments...thanks for taking the time to stop by for a visit... your always welcome♥
