~Sometimes Called Budder Boy~

I know everyone loves their pets be it dogs, cats or birds.....but this one here is so gentle and loving, they say they have no souls but how can something love you so unconditionly not have one and would also give their life for you. A mystery to me , I guess God puts them on this earth to keep us company and to show us sometimes what love really is. His name is Buster!

~I've Been Tagged for the First Time!!!~

I've been tagged!!! Debra of http://pilgrimsandpioneers.blogspot.com/ tagged me so here goes:

1. I love my acrylic nails, my own nails are soft and weak and I've always, ever since I was a teenager wished to have long nails, I think it's right up there with sliced bread!!! LOL

2. I still think of my young adult children as kids: 38, 35, 33, and my baby 28. I just can't help it.

3. I'm really going to try to be more creative, I've made prim things in the past...just need a boot in the "you know where"

4. I love my dog....Buster Boy

5. Of course I do love going to yard sales and the flea market to find that bargain.

Now I tag:
Leslie of "My Country Home"
Robin of "Bird in the Hand Primitives"
Stacey of "Torn 'N Tattered Prims"

Have a great and blessed Sunday everyone!!!

~Some Pics of my Favorite Things~

My hoosier...paid 100.00 from an estate of 90 some year old man. My corner cabinet that I've had since the 80's the inside used to be painted blue paid 100.00 for it unfinished. Here is a desk that I paid 25.00 and painted a barnred, I'm thinking on doing it in black. What do you think?
Now the drysink, this I go back and forth with....you see, it was my mom's, in the 70's my oldest brother bought it unfinished for her and stained it. Both mom and Dave are gone now and I just feel bad to paint it and distress it (although I think it would look so neat). I did change the white, ceramic knobs for the iron star ones on the drawers. I'll be sure to post a pic if I do ......Yesterday I spent all day trying to post pics, I mean I did post the other day duh!! Oh how the brain gets one you reach a certain age.lol

~My Stitcheries~

I'm back again just trying to figure this posting of photos

~Are your Goodwills good?~

Not around here they aren't, I belong to forums and read all the blogs I can, especially prim ones or the ones who like to decorate and it seems like everyone gets such good finds. Not me, I have went to our local one at least once a week on a different day of the week and nada!!! Just old clothes, old tupperware and dented pots and pans, games (who knows if all the pieces are there) scruffy, stuffed animals and books. Granted I do so like to read and I have found some books that I have enjoyed but I want to find some really neat project that I can redo to make it more prim...here is all that I've found:
1. Round wood bowl that was small for .50 that I painted brown over black.
2.Very small brown and beige stoneware jug for 1.00
3. Larger , wood bowl that was navy with stars that I painted black for 1.00
4. A pair of Calvin Klein shorts for 2.99 that I have worn alot.
Maybe I should try again when the yard sales start around here, maybe people drop off what they don't sell which would be the weekend here. When I'm there I see people going out the door with bags and I say to myself what are they buying? Sure beats me.LOL Oh, and one time I did buy a brand new mop for 1.00 which I still have so maybe I have found somethings because now that I have all down before my eyes I use everything I have found!!!

~My Plans~

I thought about this blog all last evening wondering how to make it interesting enough for you to stop by so I'll tell you about my plans. When the weather gets warmer I plan on doing some painting and distressing of some furniture all in black, just love the black furniture out there but can cost a pretty penny, so I want to do a headboard that is pine, right now I have none behind my bed. I have a drysink that was my mom's from the 70's and I plan to either do it barn red over the pine or the black. I also want to tell you that I will be posting pictures as soon as I figure out how to do it, I was going to ask Michael on Easter but there was just to many here to sit and post pics. My computer is in the diningroom right where everyone was gathered so be patient and I promise to have them up soon.
I am also wanting to sell my stitcheries and samplers on ebay and maybe this blog, I love doing them, also have prim items that I don't want anymore and maybe someone else will so....there is alot I'm planning on doing here and I hope you will travel with me down the road on this prim journey.

~My First Post Ever!~

Amazing how nervous you can get doing your first blog, people who read this I wouldn't know even if I saw them on the street. Actually, I'd love to see you on the street. LOL
After reading alot of blogs I thought it would be fun to write about my prim decorating and just my life in general, hopefully it will turn out to be all that I've dreamed it to be. I'll be posting again, maybe even tonight, tomorrow morning at the latest...oh, you are probably wondering about the name of my blog, Tomatoe Creek Prims ? I named it in honor of my dad...when I was little we always passed a creek that was a rusty, orange in color, being about 4 at the time I asked him why the water wasn't clear? He answered that it was a tomatoe creek, just teasing I guess but I do remember that space in time with a smile. So it is born Tomatoe Creek Prims and I'm really excited about it and how far it will take me. Until next time, Rondell
