Well, here is what we got yesterday starting about 2 PM and it hasn’t quit yet as I’m posting at 12:02 PM Saturday. The picture below is at the end of my drive way where my lamp post is…tree fell on it and broke the light right off!
This is our pool house out back tree fell on it too!
I think my snowman wants to retire…look how the branches on the tree are touching the ground. I worked yesterday and Stush took me and picked me up…going wasn’t to bad at the time but coming home was a heck of alot different, my manager let me go at 8PM instead of 8:30. I worried about Michele coming home and Chris but thankfully everyone made it home from work safe:) When Stush pulled into the driveway and we got out you could just stand there and hear the trees cracking and breaking off…oh well, Mother Nature at it’s best and you sure don’t mess with her!
I’m over my funk, at least I think I am LOL, so I did change my counter where I had the breadboards like in my header, I purchased this from Kathy a member of App forum, thanks Kathy, and I just love it but I’m having a hard time finding a neat place for it so I thought I’d try here and it does give me alot more counter space so we shall see:0
I had to close the blinds to take this picture because it is so bright outside…I FINALLY made the curtains for the guest room and redecorated it a little the only thing patriotic in there is the quilt on the bed which I Rit dyed (tan) and used two bottles on it like Kindra advised. It turned out great and I forgot to take a picture of it but I’ll take one and show it soon, I work tomorrow 1 to 6:30 so I don’t if I can fit in a post or not, making rigatoni and pepperoni dip for Chris for his Super Bowl Party and I’ll probably have to drop it off on the way to work.
Have a great day where ever you are:)
Rondell
Ps. I also received my box wood wreath, I have it hanging in my kitchen window but I have to wait until it’s dark to take a picture…it’s just to bright out right now!
Wow, you guys got hit hard! We got about 6 inches overnight and now it has stopped. Glad everyone made it home safely and love those curtains ;)
ReplyDeleteI think you got a little more snow than we did. We haven't dug ourselves out yet. Thankfully this hit on the weekend when not so many have to travel to and from work/school.
ReplyDeleteStay warm!
Cathy
wowsz!!!! you got hit with some serious snow Rondell!!! holy cow is all I can say..i do love the beauty of snow..there is something so peaceful about it..till you hear the trees cracking and falling..and no power..then it just takes the fun right out of it..I love your kitchen counter and that little shelf is cute..I also love your curtains..very simple and prim...stay safe and toasty and have a great weekend.:)
ReplyDeleteWe got about a foot of snow where I am in Northeast Ohio. It's wet and heavy but the sun has been shining and the snow plows have been out so overall not as bad as it could have been.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on the curtains. I'm sure your guests will feel right at home!
I absolutely LOVE the picture of your tree with the snowman flag! I WISH this storm hit us but Im too far north:( I was praying hard too!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I should tell you to enjoy the snow or not. It can be a pain but it is also very pretty. Down here in SC, we got 1.5" of rain and it was 33 degrees all day. If it's going to be this cold, we might as well have something pretty to look at!
ReplyDeleteI really like the kitchen shelf. Don't know how big your house is but in mine, any square inch I can find I will take.
That's a lot of snow! It snowed here yesterday and stopped about 4:00pm. Our streets are pretty clear, I've heard it suppose to snow again on Monday.
ReplyDeleteI love your star lamp!
Stay warm! I know what you mean about it being bright! My mom kept opening the windows to our snow and I had to wear shades in the house!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Lisa
Hi Rondell!....it's snowing today here too but I think we only have about 6 inches.
ReplyDeleteLove the corner shelf you put on the kitchen counter!
Janet
Stay safe and warm!
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE the look of your yard. I live in the snowbelt in Ontario, and we have had very little snow this year. I love snowstorms, a great excuse to cozy up inside. Love your kitchen counter vignette, looks great.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, one of my faves.
We got a lot of snow, too! We were only suppose to get 2-6 inches, but ended up getting about a foot!! I love the picture of the tree with the snowman flag. Just beautiful!! Looking forward to seeing your quilt!
ReplyDeleteTake care,
~Kris~
Im seeing lots of snow pics on blogs today! You guys sure got hit hard...and here I sit north of everyone with next to none. I guess I better be careful saying that...winter isnt over yet!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is a lot of snow! I am so ready for winter to be over. I really like your new curtains! ~Dan~
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't loose too many trees. It's awful seeing the empty spaces come the spring.
ReplyDeleteThe corner of the counter looks great!!
Be safe my friend!
WOWEE! You guys sure got hit hard. It missed us this time - thank goodness! As far as the color white - I'm looking forward to green for a change. Love your new header! Glad you're getting back to "normal"! Have a great weekend, Dawn
ReplyDeleteWe got around 7 in. and that was plenty, although we are expecting more Tues.
ReplyDeleteI've had the blahs for weeks now. My wrist is still hurting and when I try to do something it hurts worse. It's very frustrating.
Hope you don't lose your power. That's so scary when trees start dropping like that.
Love that little shelf, and your curtains turned out great!
Take care!
Terry
Hope you stay warm and safe!
ReplyDeleteboy, you guys got it bad ,too. be careful going to work.my sis said that Md. and De. were not allowed out on the roads. you would be arrested. stay safe and warm! LOL!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Rondell,
ReplyDeleteLove the little shelf in the corner of your counter!!
We got 10 inches of snow here in Ohio where I live...and my grandson was born late on Friday. We had 6 inches of snow then...think this is a snowstorm that our family will nver forget.
I've heard that we are expecting some more snow on Tuesday and Wednesday!! I like snow, but I'm ready for Spring to come.
Take care and stay warm,
~Cindy~
Hi Rondell, THanks for visit my blog. WE made the mirror frame using a wooden crown molding, and adhere to it using Liquid nail for mirrors (Char suggested me Liquid Nail, I never used it before but it really works). Thanks for asking.
ReplyDeleteWOW, that is a lot of snow. The picture with the snowman flag is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove the corner candle stand that Kathy made you, and your curtains look great.
Have a great day!
Prim Blessings,
Kim
Wow!! That is a snowstorm. I hope you were all able to get out and about like you needed to. I love your header. Very cute. Have a super day. Julie
ReplyDeleteNo snow for us as of yet. Maybe in a few weeks? The danger of it is the only thing that I don't like about it. I'm glad all of you got home safely. I'm sure if we had to deal with it all the time, I would feel differently about it! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love your new goodies!
Hope you have a great week!
Snow Snow Snow.....uggghhh You sure got a lot in your neck of the woods ! We only got 3 inches Friday but now they are saying more tonight ! 4 to 8 inches =( I dislike driving in it and I go back to work tomorrow at 7 a.m.
ReplyDeleteHopefully it won't be bad. That little corner stand is just to cute ! Nice job on the curtains too. Hope your week is off to a wonderful start.

Just had to check in and see if you were one of the ones without power. Seems like all of you in the "south" are getting way more snow than us "northerners" this year. Here it comes again, good luck!
