~Cloudy Sunday~

Hi everyone! I hope your having a nice relaxing Sunday!
I don't think it could get anymore cloudy and I'm getting a little tired of it...I can't wait until the sun shines again:) I haven't been doing any decorating because the house is still tore up, I finished removing all the wallpaper from the entryway, YEAH! Stush finished sanding and filling holes in there today so I guess it's tomorrow that he will start painting in the livingroom and diningroom.
I did finish the frame that I got at GW the other day, I painted it black and distressed it and put the cross stitche in it that I found at the rummage sale:) Today I went to GW and JoAnn's, nothing at GW but I did find this cuttingboard for .99 it's raised up with four little legs so I don't know if I'll remove them or not. I'm still thinking on how I'll do this and also where I'll put it. Hopefully this week will be the end of a messy home:)

When I was at JoAnn's I found this...I asked if it was a punch needle and the lady said yes, I debated about buying it but it was the only one there so I just couldn't leave it there now could I?

I know I saved a tutorial on needle punching so I guess that's the way I'll have to learn how to do it, there is more instructions inside of the package so after supper I'll have a look:)
Well, like I said nothing much here going on... I can't wait to show you pics of how I'm going to move things around and tweak:)
Have a great evening!

  1. Hi Rondell,

Gray here too but we haven't gotten the rain at all and we need it.

I am really curious if your tool will work well becsause my punch needle tool is much bigger and comes with more parts - a special threader and different size needles. I saved this post from a blog when I was learning. You can see the Cameo tool here and she has some tips too! I hope it helps!

I've looked at that set at my Joanns too and thought about getting it but haven't yet. Can't wait to see how it works.

  7. Good Morning Rondell~
I bought a cutting board with legs too. And I use mine on my table to display other prim goodies...kind of like a table bench.
Have a great week...hope the sun shines for you!

  8. My hearts goes out to you also, with the house in restoration. There is dust everywhere in my house, & barely a room not touched by the restoration. I look forward to seeing your pics when it is done.

  9. I have a punch needle tool from when I was a kid. My Gram bought me some kit for Christmas, as she always did. I have no clue how to work it or if it's any good but I found it stashed in the box with all of my craft paint. Someday I'll have to give it a try. I really want to learn!

I don't think I'm going to the TS on the weekend anymore. I didn't have a lot of luck, either. Any other time the place it just packed. I could tell how busy it must be on the weekend by how bare things were!

I'm sure you'll get your house back together before long. Hang in there :)

  10. Love that frame with the cross stitch!

We've had lots of rain and cloudy weather too, but it's clearing off today. At least it's not 90 degrees like last week!

  11. That's just like a punchneendle I gave away! I will say one thing, MAKE SURE your fabric that you're going to punch on is VERY sturdy and closely woven...otherwise, the thread pulls back out...

  12. Rondell - I LOVE you're reasoning on purchasing that punch needle kit - because it was the only one left! I use that same reason myself when I'm out shopping... lol!!

  13. Hi Hun,

You sound like me, its so cloudy and gloomy here...and the forecasts calls for rain the rest of the week. All I want to do is curl up with a good book and nap...lol. Hope you get your house back together.

    Hugs,
    Deb

  14. Rain, rain go away! We're supposed to get more tomorrow and the next day - YUK! Thanks for the nice comments about Ashley's shower. I think it's important that Abbey feels included right now, this will be a BIG change for her. (But I know she will be a great big sister!) Have a great day and I hope your restoration is finished soon - for your sake! Dawn
