I've been busy working and watching the granddaughters and trying to keep up with laundry and vacuuming at least, thanks goodness I have a dishwasher. LOL
A couple weeks ago I found this flag for .25... I grudged it up plus I already had the old frame so I painted it black, distressed it and hung it above my PC. Here it is and I think it needs something below it but I'll have to think on that.
I've also been working on this pumpkin, I don't know what is showing on the glass because I cleaned it with Windex, I just stuck it in the frame that's why it's a little wrinkled around the stem so that I could show you:)
I took this picture before I decorated for fall, it gives you an idea of my homes layout.
These digital cameras are really something else aren't they? There is no way that my walls in the hallway are this color...maybe because I have the candle lit, I should have used the candlelight setting!
Stush cut the legs down on this mustard bench for me and I like it alot better. The pewter sugar and creamer I got for $4.00 at the second hand shop where I get my hair done and the pewter mug was a $1.00 at a yard sale it has some etching on it but that's okay with me.
My daughter turned 40 yesterday and Saturday we are having a party for her, I just don't know how it all happened where did forty years go? Goodness I remember being forty and she had bought me a ruby ring for my fortieth birthday which I've worn everyday since then. Time sure does go by but it's been fun and she has given me two little sweethearts I guess it's just the way it's supposed to be!
Have a great Wednesday evening and be sure to stop by My Country Home to see who else is doing WWW!
What great treasures! And your house looks lovely as ever!

Love the little pumpkin picture! That's a reflection of YOU in the glass - JUST TEASIN!!
ReplyDeleteI hope as time goes on, the work schedule becomes easier.
Happy 40th Birthday to your daughter!
Hi Rondell!
ReplyDeleteLove the pumpkin in the frame. So cute sweetie, so cute. Below your flag, you need to get you some of those little minature stars that are painted red, white and blue with stars in the corner like a flag. I had seen quite a few clearanced all over after the holiday finished. Or else buy some plain ones, and paint them. They would look cute there. Now that little bench with the legs cut off is a wonderful idea. I'll have to remember that one. Thanks so much for sharing honey. Love it, love it. Stop by and say hi. I would so love to have you visit. Country hugs, Sherry

ReplyDeleteI always love to see your latest projects and displays, Rondell. Now I'm really itching to get my fall stuff put out. Maybe next week. This first week back has been so busy with the new routine and some "To Do" list items left over from the summer.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're finding time for your crafting even with your new work schedule.
Enjoy your long weekend and your birthday girl! Brendan turns two today and we have some birthday fun planned with both sides of the family tomorrow and Sunday. HE has no idea what's going on, but he's all excited because the other kiddos are. Which is sweet.
