~New Halloween Stitchery and My Fall Decorating Outside~

I finally finished this Halloween stitchery last night then grunged it up, looks alot lighter then what it is and it is made on an old feedsack:) It's a freebie pattern from Betty at Primitive Betty's, thanks Betty I always visit your blog, you do such fantastic work. I have it in my keepingroom so that I can see it while I'm in the kitchen. They only thing I need now are some real pumpkins and gourds, today is certainly chilly enough to have them sitting outside and not rot. I still also need to add lights to my grapevine tree that is sitting on top of a wooden box.
This is out by the end of the driveway and also need some pumpkins there too!

Tonight I'll be at my son's football game freezing, you would think by now I'd be use to it but I'm not, I hate to be cold, if it rains, which they say it might, it will be even worse.
I hope everyone has a great fall weekend!

  2. It all looks great. :) Even without the extras that you think you need, it looks wonderful. You're doing much better than I am! LOL

You mentioned my shower curtain...it isn't hard. I used 4 yards of homespun, although it was actually too much, so I had extras for other things. Sew sections of fabric together. (A traditional shower curtain is 72X72, I made mine a bit longer because I wanted to cover the side of the tub) The tricky part is lining up the plaid. Then you just fold the edges in and sew. I used curtain ring clips from Wal-Mart and just popped the cap off the end of my curtain rod, slid the rings on and put the cap back on.....

I know you could do it :)

    Have a great weekend!

  9. YOur banner looks wonderful as does all your outside decor.

I can relate to those cold football games. I bought the long stadium coat from Landes End just for those games and I would bring a sleeping bag pull it up over my legs and thighs and under my butt to keep the bottom half warm.It really helped for the late in season games when there was snow and temps in the single digits!

  21. I really enjoyed the pictures of all your decorations. I need to get mine out but the weather is still so hot that I just can't bring myself to do it!

In reagards to your felt buying (a few posts down) I just wanted to let you know that I have done the SAME thing before. I actually have a bin full of felt. How about making a felt/flannel board for the grand kids with all the leftovers? I have one for preschool and the kids love it!

    Keep warm!

  29. Great stitchery - love it and your outside fall decorations are wonderful. Hope your side won the football game and I don't think you ever get used to sitting in the cold for those games. My boy's sport of choice was hockey and I never got used to sitting in an arena.

    Hugs - Karen
