~Primming Up and Springing Up~

Good day everyone...I hope everyone is having a wonderful Spring day, it's chilly here but sometimes sunny so in a way that's a good thing and this morning I saw not one but two robins when I took Samantha to preschool:) Also haven't been using the fireplace insert that much so it does look like spring is just around the corner!

I've been looking and drooling at everyone who has posted pictures of their spring decorating and I must say they are all just beautiful and so inspiring makes me want to open all the windows and doors to let some warm air in but that's not going to happen today but soon real soon:)

This is in my keepingroom and thought I'd add this blue towel that I've had for years on the towel rack that I had found at the fleamarket a couple years ago for $4.00 it's very old and weathered:0
I love this wooden bunny that I won on ebay a few years ago, I'll always keep him because I paid way to much for him.lol Yeah, I got caught up on the bidding and I sure learned my lesson...put in a bid and let it go.!!! I'm to ashamed to say how much I paid for him but I'll just say...more than he's worth!
This is a pewter cup that Michael received when he was born, it has the alphabet on it so it's about 35 years old, someday it will be with him. This rabbit came from The Country House catalog.

I made this little bunny angel...you can see the carrot stitched on her skirt, her wings are made from an old quilt then I made it really stiff with liquid starch.
I've been busy today guess you could say I have my hand in every pot:) I took the girls to school went to GW while Samantha was in school then picked her up:) Now I'm painting, staining, stitching and coffee dyeing!
Not much at GW but I did find a new package of 2yds of cheese cloth for .79 which I dyed and baked, maybe tomorrow I'll stop buy the Country Store and see if she has brought in anything new:)
Have a great evening!

  1. I love your towel rack, your bunnies, and that pewter candle stick ! Sounds like you are busy today. I can't wait to open the windows. Sometimes I have to open them a little even in the winter just for that cool air ! Enjoy your afternoon !

I wish I had some prim Spring decor, but I haven't found any at GW and I really felt like creating lately!
I'm sure that when the weather starts getting warmer and the sun shines longer the creative juices will once again become unfrozen!!
I sent you an email about the dinnerware. I will keep you posted for sure!

  6. Your house looks as if it has welcomed Spring time and before you know it you will be opening those windows. I know what you mean about getting carried away with bidding, I did that for a doll once, I do not regret it, love the doll but will never ever do that again! I know the seller was thrilled, for sure!
