~So Nice Today I Went to the GW !~

Hello blogging friends!
I think I finally figured out when the GW in my area restock....Thursdays!!! Yep, they were bringing things out as I was looking around! I stopped to look at the furniture but there wasn't anything there worth looking at so on I went to the linens and by the time I worked my way around again...this was sitting there! Nice and heavy and I do think it's an older piece, they wanted $15.00 for it!!! It has glass knobs so I'm going to buy wood ones to replace them and then prim it up, they had on it that it was a phone stand but it's going in my bathroom after I'm all done with it, I can just see a prim towel hanging on it. I'll probably do it in black to go with the cupboard I have on the wall or I could stain it then paint it black and go over that with the light buttermilk then stain. LOL I'll post a pick when I'm done with it. Of course I had to stop in The Country Store and go straight back to the 50% off room! I bought this coverlet runner for about $7.00, I was good though I bought it and left.
Now my plan for tomorrow is to clean out the bottom of the hutch, it sits right next to my computer and it's a mess inside, there is Stush's mothers things in there that we just don't use so those will get packed away and I'm going to put all my sewing stuff in there then maybe the diningroom table will look decent again and I can put the runner on it.LOl Half of the table holds my crafty things and I'm tired of looking at it and figured this would be the best solution.
I guess we all have our crazy things that we just can't get enough of don't we? Well these are stadium seats from Three Rivers, which isn't there anymore, my youngest son Chris found these on Craigslist for $220.00...when he told me I was going to say "Are your crazy?" I stopped myself because I'm sure he thinks I'm crazy with all my prim stuff.LOL
They will go great in his apartment because he has the neatest pictures of the Steelers and also Fatheads that I helped him put up, they actually look like they are coming right at you from the wall! Steeler rug and white mini blinds with black curtains that I bought him for Christmas. It's a single man's dream apartment, yes, he's a Steeler fan so much that a couple weeks ago he went to South Hills Villiage to see and get an autograph of "Antonio"at midnight!

The weather was just so nice today and supposed to be even warmer this weekend! We also have to remember to turn the clocks ahead this Saturday or is it Sunday? I'll have to check on that!

Have a great evening everyone!

P.s. there is a scale at the antique loft at Trax's-not sure how much it is but I know he got it at the flea market downstairs at trax's.

  16. What GW had marked as a phone table is a small washstand. You're right the side 'handle' looking things are for towels. My great-grandparents had them. I have one I bought at auction. My m-i-l has one that had been in her family. Hers has a solid top mine has a hole cut in the top to secure the washbowl. I've taken many a bath from one at my great-grandparents and also my best friends grandmother's house.
