I did manage to add this rusty star garland to my mantel, I don't know if I like it or not but for now it's there until whenever:) Maybe when I change things for fall I'll like it better. I had fun putting this gathering together for the JSPF, I used some prims from around the house then had to put everything back.:)
I found these next two wooden items at GW...I've been looking for a box to paint a Colonial Blue and for .89 this fits the bill. I've wanted a bigger box then what I have on top of my black corner cabinet in the keepingroom.
Rondell,
ReplyDeleteGreat TS finds...can't wait to see them redone.
That shooting was on our local news here in Ohio. They were talking to the grandmother that lives in our town about her granddaughter that had gotten shot there. She was shot in her shoulder and her back, but she is expected to live. If I remember the story correctly, she is getting married sometime later this year. What a terrible senseless shooting spree!!
~Cindy~
You know...I am getting to really "relike" the colonial blue. Ever since I have seen you use it in your home.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing your redo's.
You sound like me...watching the little ones. Except I can't give mine back! LOL LOL
Enjoy the rest of your week!
Great finds, Rondell-can't wait to see the end results!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!
hugs-Kath
Hey Rondell! What does JSPF stand for? I love your gathering! Your box and cutting board are going to look awesome.
ReplyDeleteWe also heard about the shooting. What is wrong with people these days? And he blogged about it before he did it! And nobody reported it? If I ever read anything remotely like that I will definately report it!
Have fun babysitting!
Thanks for sharing. It's tough to get in much make-over things with those grandchildren, but I wouldn't trade those times for the world! Didn't you love that VW? As soon as I saw it drive into town I was in love! I had 3 of them - way back when - and I'd like another one (if it would only work to haul stuff for the shop)! Have a great day, Dawn
ReplyDeleteP.S. Those shootings were just horrendous. We've been following it on the news.
Oh, how I wish my Goodwill had some things other than clothes. You have some great finds there.
ReplyDeleteery nice finds!!!!! I, to am having a hard time getting things done!!! Maybe in a few weeks things will slow down! Have a great day! Enjoy your blog alot!
ReplyDeleteRondell,
ReplyDeleteLove the GW finds & I love your basket gathering that you did for the forum. Have fun with the grandkids.
Pam
Hi Rondell,
ReplyDeleteGreat TS finds... I love that box and of course I love any and all cutting boards. Can't wait to see them re-done.
We heard about that shooting here in Ohio and I was appalled. I can't believe people these days. It is a shame...
~Lisa
Love that box! It's going to look great.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your redo's. You put together some nice little gatherings!
ReplyDeleteI love the display you made for JSPF, Rondell, and I'm looking forward to seeing your makeovers!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your granddaughters!!
Take care,
~Kris~
So fun to see what you're working on these days, Rondell. I feel the same way about the "trying to" part. Between the kids' activities and play dates, the regular errands and day trips, and the company we've had and are still looking forward to, I just don't know if I'm coming or going.
ReplyDeleteI joked with Todd that I'm going to be getting so much done when he and the big kids are back to school. So I've just decided to let some things sit until then.
I hope you're enjoying some summer weather. The humidity is finally gone and today is sunny and just the right amount of warm.
Take care...
Hey I had a box like that once with that same heart on it. Hmmm what did I do with it. I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Some ideas for your shelf- not sure if they will look good. Place a few hardcover books under the pewter pitcher and put a few flowers/ dry grasses in the pitcher. Perhaps place the pewter goblet slightly in front and to the side of the star plate. That way everything ill not be lined up in a straight row. I enjoy your blog and all the crative things you do with your thrift store finds. Charlotte
