♥ No...Not More Labels ♥

Hi everyone,
I wasn't bored today I took Sydney to the bus stop and took Samantha to and from school then took her thur Mc Donald's. I had a Happy Meal but I sure wanted a Big Mac... I love them and allow myself one every six months.:) Tomorrow morning I take Sydney to school so I'll have the rest of the day free:) When I got home I did clean then also stopped to visit on here. I did do a stitchery today it's so neat because someone special drew it for me and I'll show you that tomorrow!
Janene from Primitive Lifestyle (sorry it won't let me link to your blog ) recently did a breadboard like mine only I think mine isn't as thick, she wanted to know if she should have three prim things or just two. So here is a pic of mine Janene:) two things on it I found at Goodwill and the other I got for .25 at the barn sale I went to. Odd numbers rule!!! I've been going around my house making sure I have odd numbers in my displays.lol
I also stopped at the library to see if I could find something to read...I found these the series is called "Dear America" I don't know if they are for kids or what they don't seem to be but they were near the "Little House on the Prairie" books. I think I'll enjoy them though: Coal Miner's Bride is set here in Pa....Early Sunday Morning is about Pearl Harbor. Christmas After All is about the depression and they are wrote in a journal or diary form from a young girl.
They should be interesting, hopefully so, because I think I've read every book in our small town library:)
Have a good evening everyone!

I love your cutting board! Yep, 3 looks like a good number! I am hoping to find a wooden candle stick at goodwill to redo and put a grubby candle in it!

  5. I just love children's literature, Rondell. And I have enjoyed the Dear American Series as well. I think you will too.

I always do things in uneven numbers too. It just looks more natural to me. Can't wait to see your stitchery!

  7. Hey Rondell;

These books are considered 12 to adult...so you're covered! ;-)

The have a Canadian version of the same...

A long that line, I'm sure I have read the Little House on the Praire book, The Long Winter, five or six times. So elementary reading level is just fine for me!

    Happy reading!

  14. Those books are very good. My girls have read some of them. I try to decorate in odd numbers. I took an interior design class in college and I remember the teacher saying, "Odd looks Even." It's true. Have a great weekend. Julie

Can't wait to see your stitchery. I never get enough of your pictures. Keep on trying that camera out for us.

I went to The Country Store yesterday. I'll post pictures of what I bought next week when I have time.

But I found another store called The Rusty Angel in Greensburg. It is do die for. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was like walking into my favorite prim catalog. She has furniture from a source I was looking at on the web. Needless to say I spent money there too. I"ll post those pictures as well.

  16. I'll apologize in advance for the lenghty comment. So, this morning my wonderful sampler pillowcase had it last good night sleep. Determined to find a replacement, I googled RL sampler pillowcase. No luck...but wait...what's this a new to me blog...a primitive blog. Oh I loved it. I LOVE primitive things and yet in the winter I am drawn to the freshness that the cottage colors have to offer. Anyways, I just wanted to say that I enjoyed reading your blog and looking at your pictures. I'm off to rearrange my hoosier. If you happen to go to my blog, go to my holiday home tour, you'll see it there. Take care and try to stay warm.

Trust me you'll get hooked on those Dear America books! I bought one at a yard sale thinking it would look good just for display. That same day I stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch and decided to take in in with me to look at. Well , I about read the whole thing right there in the Taco Bell!
    Have a great day!!

  20. If you like history, the Dear America books are wonderful choices. They are fiction but use alot of non-fictional history in the story telling.
