Hi ....
this is what I've been working on today, I painted him dark brown, at first I didn't care for him at all but now I think he's growing on me.lol I painted him, now what do I do with him? Anyone know? I hate to take another step and ruin him so please leave me comments on what to do next:) He does look like he's made out of chocolate doesn't he? The tail was the hardest part to paint or I should say the tidiest part. This pic below is for Lisa from Primitives From Above, she asked me what other prims I had placed around my wooden wagon wheel because she to had one and was having trouble finding a place for it, I paid $5.00 for it at the Meadows Antique Fair years ago:) I've always kept and loved it:)

He does look like chocolate... mind if I have a nibble?
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a chocolate bunny! Very cute.. I like him the way he is, but I like to hand stitch, so maybe I'd try some embroidery on his side, or perhaps just an eye (stitch one or sew a button on)? I think wherever you place it, the whole feeling will change too. Just my two cents!
ReplyDeleteGreat job!!
I like the bunny just the way he is! You're right, he looks like chocolate.

Seriously when I saw that you posted something for your Whatcha Working on Wednesday and I saw that bunny... I thought you were working on eating him until I got into your blog and saw that he was decoration (lol). Goes to show you that my mind is on chocolate.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for posting that picture. Oh - I am going to have to go search for my wagon wheel which is in the garage...hmmm, should be a fun trip (lol). Thanks Again.
Have a blessed evening!!
Hugs,
Lisa
Yes, he does look like a chocolate bunny. And I like him the way he is, too. I also like how you have the wagon wheel set up. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI like yer chocolate bunny!
ReplyDeleteMaybe sand him here and there to make him look loved? But he's cute exactly as is, too....
That bunnie has some big ears. LOL
ReplyDeleteAs a bunny lover I think he is just fine, but if you must do something else to him how about using a shinny glaze.
ReplyDeletePeace and Blessings
Cheryl...Snatch JOY!
Hey Rondell,
ReplyDeleteIf you go to Primp your pad at gathered treasures and look towards the bottom of her page, you'll see a brown bunny sitting with eggs. Just for an idea!
I think I want to bite his chocolate bunny ears off! LOL!! I like him!!
ReplyDeleteI think the bunny looks fine just the way it is!! You make the cutest things. Hope you're having a good day. Julie
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a chocolate bunny at first glane. I would say he is perfect if he looks that good. I love the picture with the whell in it everything looks like it should be together.

Hey Rondell,
ReplyDeleteI would take briwax and give him a leather look..I love this stuff and it will make it look more like chocolate too..have you worked with the briwax before..super easy..but be in a ventilated area...cause it is strong..it will give it a more prim look...have a good one..:)
He looks very much like a chocolate bunny. Maybe some whiskers but he is looking good. I like the wagon wheel, nice find and great price.
ReplyDeleteOh You painted him & he looks really yummy!
ReplyDeleteI like that chocolatey little fellow just the way he is, Rondell. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm loving your prim displays as always.
Rondell your bunny turned out cute. You could alaso sand him a little bit to get a more worn look, if that's what you want BUut hes adorable as is.
ReplyDeleteI love your wagon wheel too! And I love how you have is displayed.
I bought a chocolate bunny like him at the TS a few weeks ago. He's just a muslin bunny painted brown and then he had a bow around his neck and a prim hang tag that says "CHOCOLATE BUNNY". I can't wait to put him out :)
ReplyDeleteI love wagon wheels, too. I have an Amish buggy wheel in my front yard and I just love it :)
Have a great night!
Leslie
Hi Rondell
ReplyDeleteI love the bunny just the way he is. He could hop on over to my place and sit in the basket of eggs I plan on making. Notice I said "plan" cause it'll be 4th of July before I finish them. I've been doing some sewing but not my eggs yet.
I think there was more in the store when I went back on that Friday. There was a lot I dion't remember seeing either.
Rhonda
Great looking bunny!!! Don't know how prim you want him to look but he would look really neat if you used some glue and then rolled him in nutmeg and cinnamon. Gives a real prim grungy look. Add some eggs that have been wrapped with tea-dyed homespun and you have a great 'fixin for your table. Of course, don't forget th grass!! Sherrie
ReplyDeleteI love him just as he is! The tail is great! What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was chocolate when I seen it in my sidebar!
Nicole
Hi Rondell,
ReplyDeleteLove the bunny...very cute and looks like chocolate!
I've had a few others ask if I would share how I made my labels... and I will on one of my posts coming up in the next few days. Got some swap photos and the birthday giveaway to post also.
Cindy
Your bunny does look chocolate and he's so cute! I'm not sure what to add unless it was something stitched and then stitched on him.
ReplyDeleteAnd I really love your gathering with the wagon wheel and the prairie life sign! The Pioneer Era is my very favorite....don't you have some bonnets somewhere too...maybe near your dry sink? I just love all those things!
Tammy
Oh he does look like a chocolate bunny! I like the way he is :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!
hugs-Kath
